Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a remake of 2005 games of Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team and Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team. The game was developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company. The game was released on March 6, 2020. It was the first Pokémon game to be remade outside of a main series game.

     The player starts off as a human that has been changed into a Pokémon. The player chooses one out of 16 from the first three generations. The Pokémon chosen is through a personality quiz. The player will then choose a partner Pokémon from the other 15, except Pokémon that has the same type.

     The game is mission based. Jobs will be posted on bulletin boards, requested by mail, or through story events. Jobs include rescuing Pokémon, delivering items, or escorting ciients. Upon sucessfully completing a job, a player reward and Rescue Points, these will increase a team’s ranking.

     The game received mixed reviews. The game was praised for its improvements from the original games. These included the improved story and art style. Critics found fault with its repetitive dungeons and the lack of on screen enemy HP information. The game has sold over 1.25 million copies since its release.
