The New Super Mario Bros. is a side-scrolling video game that war released on May 16. 2006. The game looks similar to Super Mario Bros. 3. The game takes up both screens of the Nintendo DS.
On the world map, Mario is on the top screen with the world's stages and the
eight worlds is on the bottom. While in a stage, Mario is on top and the
score, coins, and backup power-up is on the bottom. The game features original music composed by Asuka
Ota and Hajime Wakai, under the direction of original Super Mario Bros. composer

a dance move in response to certain riffs in the score. For example, Goombas and
power-ups hop, Koopa Troopas do the Twist, Cheep-Cheeps perform an inline twist,
and Spinies do an about face. The game sold 420,000 units in just one day in Japan and nearly 1 million in just four days. The game has sold over 29 million copies since March 2013. Its the second best selling Nintendo DS game. Screenshots
