Mario & Luigi: Partners in Time is the sequel to the Game Boy Advance game Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. The game was released on November 28, 2005 in North America. The game plays the same as the GBA game. The story is much more darker then the original. Princess Peach has gone into the past using Professor Gadd’s time machine. She doesn’t return, but a monster has. She has been taken hostage by the Shroobs. Mario and Luigi unite with their younger selves to retrieve Princess Peach and save the Mushroom Kingdom past. The game doesn’t use the functionality of the touch screen but in one cut scene. Both screens are used during battles. All other times, it shows the map of the past or present Mushroom Kingdom. The game sold 132,726 copies in its first week in Japan. As of March 2013, the game has sold over 1.22 million copies worldwide. Screenshots
