Yo-Kai Watch is a role-playing game developed by Level-5 and published by Level-5 in Japan and by Nintendo in other regions.  It was released in Japan on July 11, 2013.  It was later released in North America on November 6, 2015.

     The game was a success in Japan and led to a toy line being released.  It also led to an anime series that eventually was brought to North America.

     The game received positive reviews including Famitsu scoring it 36/40.  As of January 2018, the game has likely sold over 7 million copies.
