The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes was developed by Nintendo and Grezzo and published by Nintendo. The game was released in October 2015 around the world.

     The game is a direct sequel to The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. The game is a cooperative action-adventure game that requires players to work together. In Local Play or Online Play, players team up with two other players. In Single Player Mode, players carry around two doppels to complete the challenges throughout the game. The challenges include reaching higher elevations, attack enemies, and solve puzzles. Players can collect items to craft new outfits that grant different abilities.

     Nintendo released downloadable content for the game. This was released on December 2, 2015. This update added a new dungeon called "The Den of Trials". It also added two additional costumes for Link to craft and wear.

     The game received mixed reviews. Critics enjoyed the multiplayer mode while saying that the single player mode. The game received Best 3DS Game from IGN's Best of E3 2015 Awards. As of January 2018, the game has sold 1,200,000 copies worldwide.
