Mario Party: Island Tour was released in North America on November 22, 2013 in North America.  It was later released on January 17, 2014 in Europe.  It will be released in Japan in March 2014.  The game was developed by Nd Cube and published by Nintendo.

      The game introduced seven new boards.  Each board has its own rules on how to win the game.

      Mario, Luigi, and their friends receive a note inviting them to Party Islands to come play games and have fun.  Bowser is jealous not being invited, so he instead throws a party in Bowser's Tower and captures the fun things in the Party Islands with a bubble machine.

      The game received decent reviews.  Reviewers were pleased with the new game boards.  The reviews criticized the game due to the lack of online play and that gameplay was repetitive.  As of January 2018, the game has currently sold 2,270,000 copies.
