Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions was an enhanced port of the game that launched the series.  The game was developed by AlphaDream and published by Nintendo.  The game was released October 6, 2017.

     A new mode, Minion Quest, features Bowser's army coming together to search for Bowser.  Players will control Captain Goomba in this mode.

     The game was compatible with the Super Mario Bros. series of amiibo.  Two new amiibo were released alongside the game.  These were Goomba and Koopa Troopa.  

     As of March 2019, the game has sold over 500,000 copies.
