Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon or Luigi Mansion: 2 is the first game in the "Year of Luigi" that Nintendo promised fans. They nailed it with this game. It took Nintendo 12 years to give a sequel in the series.

Upon starting the game, players get that eerie haunted mansion music. Luigi is contacted by Professor E. Gadd in a expected way, through the TV.

Game controls haven't changed that much. Most of the controls were tweaked for the 3DS. Game controls work great 99% of the time. The hardest part is walking tightropes or beams and using the 3DS gyro sensor to keep Luigi from falling.

Graphics in the game are excellent. The 3D mode works excellent and helps in some stages. Playing in 3D isn't required to play the game. The game represents some of the best graphics so far on the 3DS.

One of the minor downsides to the game is the online multiplayer mode. It can be frustrating attempting to join a game. I was kicked out several times while trying to join a game. When I did finally join, it was fun trying to catch ghosts with others. I seldom made it to the 25th floor when players selected that stage.

The game is well worth the money. The game has a high replay value. Players can find the rest of the gems or Boos they missed or just play the online multiplayer features.
